Do I get prints with my acting headshots?
When I produce headshots for an actor, I create a package that includes a layout to be printed on letter-sized card stock with crop marks to cut it to 8x10". I also put your name on this version. This way, you can print them yourself at any place that has color laser printing. Staples, Kinkos, UPS Store, etc. all have this ability. The cost is around 75 cents per copy.
The reason I do it this way is because I know that actors usually require only a few headshots printed at once, and nowadays quite often email the photos or have them uploaded to sites like the Casting Workbook instead of printing them. There's no sense in paying a photographer to print a couple hundred copies when you can make your own a few at a time.
In addition to this 8x10 headshots layout for printing, the headshots package for actors also includes full-resolution and web-resolution files for the selected touched-up images.
