So in the last few days, I’ve spent every spare minute I had working on the redesign for my www.kevinthom.com website. It’s not ready yet, but when you finally see it, you’ll probably say, “WTF?! You spent a lot of time doing this?!” It’s not really a radical change from what’s there now. But there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes PHP stuff that I had to relearn… which brings me to an excellent point that Jen made. The older you get, the harder it is to learn new stuff, which means we get excited about remembering stuff we’ve forgotten. See, I ran into many familiar problems but had a hell of a time figuring out how to fix them. This is because my design is not terrily imaginitive and is much like many designs I’ve done in the past, which caused me exactly the same problems at the time. Then, when I did figure out how to fix the problem, I realized that I had found the exact same fix about three years ago but had forgotten how to use it. 😐

Anyway, back to the website coding. I’ll be launching it on Thursday I hope. 🙂
