Well, moving day is almost upon me. I have a meeting tomorrow morning with my lawyer to go over the final details of the purchase, and then I hand over a monstrous amount of money to him for the mortgage downpayment and closing costs. When I went to the bank today to get the bank draft for that purpose, the teller was momentarily shocked by the amount. Then she went through checking my identification and everything, which involved getting a card from the vault that had my signature on it and comparing it to the signature I made on the withdrawl slip. It makes me kind of nervous that all that was necessary to withdraw that amount of money from my account was a signature. Oh well. It’s done now. I’m just glad no one had the idea to try it before I got to it.

i honestly felt ill when i signed my tuition/residence/meal plan cheque first year – handing over large sums of money is not something I think I could ever be comfortable with o.O I couldn’t even imagine having the kind of money you must have had to have been withdrawing…
but yay for almost being moving day :bounce:
i don’t mind handing over large sums of money for something in return. in fact, i have a terrible tendency to spend money. :S but, it’s fun. 😛
mmm..yes.. spending money is way to MUCH fun. thankfully i enjoy spending money on things a little less expensive then tuition and textbooks…
