I spent a good part of the night reorganizing my online photography portfolio. I originally wanted to get my print portfolio in order, because I’ve got a meeting on Thursday to talk about a possible exhibition. Anyway, I started looking through the prints I have, and they’re mostly portraits, which are not really suitable for exhibition. I’ll be showing my expressive and conceptual photos to the exhibition people. I’ll probably show some nature photos too. Using the online portfolio for this is not ideal, but I haven’t got time to make prints by Thursday, so it will have to do. There’s another gallery I want to approach about doing an exhibition, but they want slides. 😐 Who uses slides?!

Looks great. I haven’t seen one of the artistic ones and most of the nature ones. They’re very eyecandy-y. Good luck thursday with the people.
And people who are not as fast in developing and could only reach anything after years and years of practise and therefore started years ago and did it with slides, use slides, ’cause they’re used to it.
Now the question is, would they have developed 20 times faster if they got to use digital right away?
Did that even make any sense?
Good thing about slides is mainly because they can be projected BIG and in front of say, a group of folks considering works for exhibition 😉 They are also vibrant as all get out, additive light often is. I’ve had prins made of my slides awhile back and it just isn’t the same … the prints look dull.
