Some quotes, for anyone who might feel the need for inspiration right about now.
Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated. ~Lamartine
Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell. ~Edna St. Vincent Millay
Giving up doesn’t always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go. ~Author Unknown
Don’t worry about losing. If it is right, it happens – The Main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away. ~John Steinbeck, 10 November 1958
hmmmm…i’ve been sittin here thinkin about the quote about giving up..and i still don’t agree with it…to me, giving up is always the easy way out…and i think the point is to let go, without giving up…
but if you don’t give up, doesn’t that mean that you haven’t let go?
It’s a screwing around with words thing. What I have been doing all day anyways.
There’s two meanings “Stop maintaining or insisting on” and “Relinquish possession or control over” When you read the first sentence, it sounds deep and conflicty. And then the second one sounds deep and logical, so you figure you agree with the first one too.
So yea all I need to do is rephrase:
“Releasing doesn’t mean you’re weak, it means you’re strong. “
See now it just sounds ridiculous, good thing the author’s unknown.
Olya tought me to do this with scary movies, just distract yourself from the atmosphere and concentrate on detail
this blog program is very dangerous. It doesn’t let you delete/comment.
am I even at all allowed to comment on the blog?
your comments are always welcome. but i have to disagree. when you dissect the semantics of a statement, you can actually destroy or distort its meaning, rather than clarifying it. any statement can be made to sound ridiculous if you start substituting synonyms into it. the original meaning and sentiment belongs to the author. the analysis belongs to the analyst.
I own it! oh yea
