It was a really long day today. I started by breaking my computer and then having to fix it shortly before a morning photo shoot. The shoot was fine. I took some headshots of Nada for her audition on Saturday. Then I had a pile of computer clients to deal with because I’m going to be spending a lot of time tomorrow shooting. Anyway, I was exhausted by the end of the day from all the driving and stress and compact scheduling. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it to this concert in Toronto that I promised to take Jen to.

The concert turned out to be a lot of fun. It was The Rasmus, which is a pop/rock band from Finland. Jen knows the bass player Eero. He had put us on the guest list, and we met with him an hour before they opened the doors to The Mod Club. By that time, there was already a huge line up outside the door, and Eero got mobbed by grinning teen girls wanting autographs and photos with him. We went out for Thai food and chatted about Canada and Finland. Afterwards, we hung out backstage for a while, had free drinks, and checked out the tour bus. The concert was very good. They play a very tight set, with high energy and great stage presence. I enjoy seeing live music. It proves to me that the band has actual talent, and doesn’t need to be propped up by studio remixing and re-tuning. The light show is carefully choreographed too. The presentation was awesome. They’re a fun band to watch.

I’m still feeling mildly sick… my throat is sore and my head is floaty. But tomorrow’s a pretty busy day too so I’m pushing all of that aside for now. A couple of service calls, and a bodyscape shoot with Max. I’m looking forward to more challenge. Bring it on!
