I had kind of a fun day today. First of all, I called and cancelled my Telus account, because I found a great cell phone deal from Bell on Tuesday. I am not a huge fan of Bell, but I know they’re being very aggressive with signups lately. I just happened to be near the Bell store in Oakville Place, so I stopped in. The dude in there offered me a deal that was just too good to turn down.
- 200 daytime minutes
- 100 long distance minutes
- Unlimited calling nights and weekends starting at 6pm
- Caller ID and Voicemail
- Unlimited Mobile Browser
- 3 months unlimited local calling
- Free phone (with 3 year contract)
I’m getting all of that for $30 per month, including system access fee and 911 fee. Telus charges $6.95 for the system access fee, and 50 cents for 911, so that’s a nice little bonus. It’s some kind of corporate plan that isn’t advertised, and Telus admitted that they couldn’t touch it, so goodbye Telus.
After that, I headed out to Toronto to shoot a Korean bistro. Nice place, and very chic. My brain malfunctioned in the middle of the shoot and I accidentally formatted the CF card. Fortunately I had my laptop, so I was able to recover the lost photos from the card, but that was really too stupid for words. Anyway, I got free dinner after the shoot. Yum.
Awesome sounding deal on the Bell plan!
Love the photos bud … such clarity … the food looks yummy!
Question: Just how damn easy is it to format a card on the 5D?! My goodness. I am glad you had the ability to recover them though.
Not easy to format at all… Menu -> Format -> OK. It’s just that I do it kind of automatically without thinking. I was distracted and being stupid I guess. 🙂
you are seriously shooting what i’d love to be shooting for living: architecture, and food.
please excuse me, while i turn various shades of the rainbow and try to figure out if i can kidnap and pretend to be you without anyone noticing that i’m (you) stopped being male, asian, and a great photographer.
Fantastic photos Kev. These are absolutly stunning.
Take me in as a studio assistant please. Long hours? yes please.
