I’m all set for NYC. I booked seven of us into the Chelsea Hostel near Penn Station. I requested four-bed dorm rooms. Hopefully we’ll be able to get at least one room to ourselves, so we have somewhere to lock up our stuff. I also booked flights for myself from Buffalo on Jet Blue. I’ve heard good things about Jet Blue. They have comfy leather seats with lots of legroom, and satellite TV for each passenger. Not bad for a return flight that costs only $147. The booking procedure was painless and straightforward. I even got to pick my own seat without the usual disclaimers about “this assignment just indicates your preference and may change upon check-in.” I’ve never actually gotten the seats I’ve reserved on other airlines. We’ll see how it goes this time. I’m pretty hyped! I can’t wait to be in Manhattan again.

How long are you staying for?
I’ll be there from July 28 until July 31 – Friday to Monday.
sounds like a great start of a trip 🙂
I took VirginBlue from Gold Coast to Sydney and it was great! I can’t remember if i bloged about it. We booked tickets online and they actually never checked our IDs. we checked in on little computer station that had a person there to help everyone out, we picked our own seats and got our boarding passes right there and then…
The staff was everything I read about it – really friendly and nice and pleasant. Really a great experience.
No TVs though! So i guess your trip will be even better 🙂
hehe it’s only an hour but i guess that’s enough tv for one flight 😛
