I had a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to go over the results of my MRI. It’s official. I have a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and a torn miniscus on the outer side of the knee. I was hoping it would be something that would heal on its own, but I can tell that it won’t, because if I walk too fast or turn too quickly, it feels unstable. The next step is to see a sports medicine doctor to see what the options are. Anyway, obviously none of this is life-threatening, but I dislike how it’s slowed me down and changed my lifestyle.
The knee saga continues

hahah it’s funny you should point that out. on wednesday i woke up early to show up for my thursday appointment. i knew that it was wednesday, and also knew that my appointment was thursday. yet, i still showed up at the doctor’s office. they were confused because the doctor doesn’t even work on wednesday mornings. the nurse advised me to have another drink and go back to bed. 😛
Pretty much exactly the same injury I had.
I had to wait about 8months for my surgery.. during which time 25% of my meniscus had deteriorated. Also had a little bone fragment floating around on the outside of the knee.
I’m fine now… 9 years post-op.
Not saying it takes 9 years to be fine…. I’m just slow that way.
